Already, a group of 'forest guardians' are trying their best to save this endangered species. WWF has gotten involved and has talked to multiple farmers and yak farmers in the area, convincing them to stay away from the red panda's habitat. WWF has also managed to raise a ban on hunting and poaching, including a $1,000 and up to 10 years in jail.
This is the second time that red pandas have dipped from Vulnerable to Endangered. We can only hope that they will be able to rise once more into the Vulnerable section and then into Least at Risk.
